Bigger boxes please!

I was going to pack up the boys and send them to Papa and Nonna, but the boxes were too small! I guess we will have to try again later with some bigger boxes.

$2 pajama's

I would like to say that Isaak's big grins are because he is as excited as his Mommy about the $2 pajamas that he has on , but somehow I don't think that is actually what it is. He is just a smiley baby, and I love it. Anybody that knows me knows I also love a great deal. And anybody who has purchased infant pj's in the recent past knows that you can hardly ever find them for less than $5 to $7 so when I found cute Nike ones for $2 last time I went to Mervyn's I about did backflips. (Not really.... I haven't been able to do a back flip in years.) I seriously doubt that my love of clearance shopping will pass on to my boys, but I am trying!!!

Jacob's Monkey

This is Jacob's new monkey. His name is "Monmey" and he has been a very good friend.

He gives great big hugs!

He tries to provide protection from Daddy the "Tickle Monster".
He even helps to entertain Isaak.
Jacob even shares him with Isaak sometimes.....
..........but not for very long.
Let's not get too crazy now!! "Monmey" has even gone to lunch at El Nuevo with us. But I didn't have the camera there for that.

Daddy's coming home today!!!

Okay so these pictures aren't from today because Brian is still gone with the camera, but I feel that they accurately reflect the mood of the household today. We are all looking forward to Brian's return. Granted it is all for different reasons. Jacob enjoys roughhousing with daddy. I think Isaak would just like another face to look at and somebody else to drool on. I personally can't wait to be able to have 5 minutes alone. Don't get me wrong I miss him and having him around but I never really appreciated being able to just have a few minutes as much as I do now. Maybe we will get a few pictures today after he gets home and get them on here in a timely manner, but I make no promises. My craft room is calling my name. I found some great new project ideas online this weekend and Aunt Amanda's birthday is in 9 days so I need to get her present finished.

Hope you are having a happy day!!!

My "break time" scenery

Well we just got home from an all day trip with Auntie Ellen to Target and Costco, I got everything unloaded and all of the cold stuff put away, and needed a break. I would post a picture of what I am watching but Brian took the camera on his trip up north, so I will just do my best to explain it....

Isaak is across the room in his swing. In front of the swing is the bag of dog food along with the case of water from Costco. Jacob has decided that these make great stepping blocks, and is standing on them in front of the swing making faces and yelling "Isaaaaaak!!!" while Isaak squeals in delight. Oh the joys of motherhood. There is no better sound than that of 2 happy kids (no matter how loud)!!!!

"Styles" by Jacob

These are some of the most recent styles being sported in our house. Try them out sometime and see if they catch on!! hehehe

First we have the water shoe and croc combination. This style is great if you aren't sure if you might want to stick one foot in the water at some random point during the day.

Next we have Daddy's socks with one of your own crocs. Please note that the sock is not on all the way. You must have the "toe tail" on your socks. That is the key to pulling off this style. Oh yeah and the not having shorts on helps also! hehehe
Have a fun and giggle filled day!!!

Yummy feet!!

I was taking pictures of stuff to sell on Ebay and looked over to see Isaak trying to chew on his foot. I swear I feed him anytime he wants, but he apparently decided that feet are yummy!! Oh, to be a baby again. All that flexibility!!!!

We miss you Auntie Ellen!!!

While I would never intentionally lie to my children there has recently come an occasion that I was misinformed about the return of the "Favorite Auntie Ellen", and therefore passed on this misinformation to Jacob with the best of intentions. "Favorite Auntie Ellen has been in Rome since the middle of July and every time we leave the house and sometimes when we are just playing at home Jacob asks for Auntie Ellen. Being the wonderfully informative mother that I am, I kept telling him no that Auntie Ellen wanted to go and spend her summer in Rome instead of staying here and playing with him, but that she would be back on August 7th, and we would go see her then. On August 6th, I happened to be talking to "Favorite Aunt Amanda" and was informed that "Favorite Auntie Ellen" was in fact flying in on August 7th but was spending a few days in LA and not returning to her eagerly awaiting niece and nephews until August 10th. When I informed Jacob of this after his most recent request for "Favorite Auntie Ellen" he was quite distraught that the date had changed. While I didn't have my camera ready for that priceless shot, I did come across this picture that I thought might instill some guilt for "Favorite Auntie Ellen".

Shirts from Poppa and Nonna

My parents recently took a trip to Taos, NM and got these shirts for the boys. When we pulled them out of the box Jacob was very excited about the horse on his shirt and just kept yelling "Hois hois hois!!!" That is how he says horse, or at least as close as I can spell what he says. hehe He still gets excited about the horses everytime that he sees the shirts and knows which is his and which is Isaak's.
